If a Photo Could Talk, Then Melania Was Willing to Risk It All

Who are we kidding: Melania Trump is a citizen now, so she can stop acting like she loves her soggy sweat sock of a husband just to stay in the country. Sure, she does that thing where she poses with her saggy-skinned husband during photo ops. Her moves have become so mechanical that there is literally an argument on…

This Actor’s Skincare Line is Redefining Beauty for Black Men

Black men and beauty aren’t always synonymous within the beauty industry. That’s why actor, model, and singer Dorion Renaud created Buttah Skin with black men in mind. The natural skincare collection includes a vitamin E oil serum, shea butter, and a facial cleanser. And with his products, he wants brothas to know that they can feel beautiful, too!

“Oftentimes, when you think about beauty, you don’t think about a black man,” says Renaud, who stars on In The Cut on Bounce TV.

Beauty begins within is what he learned at an early age after his personal struggle with acne as a teenage model growing up in Beaumont, Texas. After routine visits to dermatologists and feeling insecure after having to remove makeup after photoshoots, Renaud became invested in learning more about his skin.

“When you start taking that journey into skincare (especially if you’re a black man) you have to do your research.”

Now, as someone who is constantly in the spotlight, he is using his platform to educate men about their skin with his newly launched line, Buttah Skin. And as an entrepreneur and businessman, he encourages other men who are interested in entering the industry to join him.

Want to become one with your skin? Here are 5 ways that you can glow up:

  1. Don’t be ashamed of your skin.
  2. Learn more about your skin by visiting a dermatologist.
  3. Switch up your diet and drink more water.
  4. Find a skincare routine that works for you.
  5. Hold your head up high!

Dorion Renaud spoke to Black Enterprise about his journey in the beauty business. Watch below.
