Cardi B slams Candace Owens: ‘I’m not getting pimped out by a White man’

The music superstar did not mince words when addressing the conservative firebrand

Cardi B had time on her hands Sunday night when she posted a stinging video message to conservative personality Candace Owens.

The Grammy award-winning performer, who refused to show her face on camera because she was under the weather, held nothing back in her address to Owens, who Cardi accused of harassing her online for her support of Democratic Party.

“I don’t know why the devil been f**king trying me today but I’m going to give demons a response,” the Bronx rapper said in the opening of the video.

Cardi B, real name Belcalis Almánzar, said that Trump supporters had been harassing her online due to her previous endorsement of Bernie Sanders during the Democratic primary and later of Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.

Trump supporters like Candace Owens and Fox News, she said, had been targeting her for her politics and recently doing a sit-down interview with Biden.

“Why wouldn’t Joe Biden sit down with me? I have millions of followers and I pay millions in taxes … I’m heard all around the word,” she said. “The same way I get people to pop their p***y and have a good time and make them feel like a bad bitch — I can also encourage millions of followers to go vote.”

While she had remained silent about the internet hate, Cardi said things came to a head when her sister, Hennessy, and her sister’s girlfriend were harassed by Trump supporters in the Hamptons during the Labor Day holiday weekend.

@candiceowens you want your clout here ! Leave me alone

A post shared by Cardi B (@iamcardib) on

“You want to call me a dumb bitch, you want to call me illiterate … girl, you’re getting pimped out by White men,” said Cardi B. “You have been this man’s cheerleader. You’re a beautiful Black woman, you talk great, amazing … and this man didn’t have the decency to let you talk at the Republican convention.”

Cardi also pointed out that Trump instead had the Kentucky attorney general, Daniel Cameron, speak at the RNC, despite not yet making any announcement about the police shooting of Breonna Taylor who was shot dead in her own home on March 13.

She then turned her attention back to Owens. “I don’t know what Black man broke your heart … that you hate your kind so much,” said Cardi, who vowed to continue telling her millions of followers to vote in the upcoming election on Nov. 3, despite Republicans and conservative voices like Owens who’d rather she stay silent.

Cardi B’s video response came after Owens tweeted a video clip on Sunday of her interview with conservative firebrand Ben Shapiro, in which she accused the hip-hop star’s music of being destructive to the Black community.

“Since most black people didn’t have the spine to admit that @benshapiro was 100% correct about @iamcardib and how her music and platform contributes to the disintegration of black culture and values…here you go,” Owens tweeted.

Cardi replied: “Yes you are right I have the number 1 song & I have a huge platform and I can make millions go vote to get the MAN THAT USED YOU .I don’t want to argue with you Candace I really don’t have the time .I honestly just feel sorry for you.”

She also tweeted a short clip of her sister’s encounter with two White men — one of whom wore a “Make America Great Again” hat — and a woman at a beach.

Her video response to Owens ended in true Cardi B fashion: “You wanted an answer, here you go … you have it. Now leave me alone, bitch. Now I’m going to go drink some chicken noodle soup.”

Trump wants to pull funding from schools that use 1619 curriculum

Trump also announced his plan to ban federal agencies from practicing racial sensitivity training.

President Donald Trump is condemning the New York Times1619 Project and the schools that use it to teach their students. The 1619 Project is a school curriculum that reframes events in American history.

“The 1619 Project is an ongoing initiative from The New York Times Magazine that began in August 2019, the 400th anniversary of the beginning of American slavery. It aims to reframe the country’s history by placing the consequences of slavery and the contributions of black Americans at the very center of our national narrative,” according to the New York Times website.

The President tweeted that the U.S. Department of Education would investigate whether or not California schools are using the materials provided by the Project.

“Department of Education is looking at this. If so, they will not be funded!” Trump wrote on Twitter.

This comes after Trump announced his plan to ban federal agencies from practicing racial sensitivity training. The training acknowledges white privilege and opens up about critical race theory, CNN reported.

In a two-page memo, the director of the Office of Management and Budget, Russell Vought, called the effort to train federal agencies to be racially sensitive was “un-American propaganda.”

New York Times Magazine published the 1619 Project last year. After the launch, materials were created to help teachers develop educational resources and a curriculum.

Other Republicans like Sen. Tom Cotton of Arkansas have introduced legislation that would ban schools from teaching the 1619 Project under the name ‘Saving American History Act of 2020’, CNN reported.

The affected schools would also be ineligible for government grants.

“We want our sons and daughters to know the truth,” Trump said.

“America is the greatest and most exceptional nation in the history of the world. Our country wasn’t built by cancel culture, speech codes, and crushing conformity. We are not a nation of timid spirits.”

Ex-Milwaukee Sheriff David Clarke says Rittenhouse should have had a plan

Protesters were demonstrating in the wake of the shooting of Jacob Blake.

Former Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke, a frequent correspondent on Fox News programs, said on a radio show that armed vigilantes like Kyle Rittenhouse should have a plan to rationalize what they have done.

Clarke implied that shooters who aim at peaceful protesters must have an excuse, according to Mic.

“I don’t advocate for some of the stuff that’s starting to happen, but I am certainly done … I am through with condemning it. I’m done with that,” Clarke said as a guest on a Milwaukee-area radio show last week.

“I’m just telling people, ‘Hey, you’re on your own,” Clark continued, according to Media Matters. “Think about it, have a plan. Act reasonably. You have to act reasonably. Then you’re going to have to articulate what you did afterwards.”

Conservatives like Clarke, a President Donald Trump supporter and a critic of Black Lives Matter despite being Black himself, are rationalizing Rittenhouse’s killings at a protest in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Clarke’s comments are “the latest development in a growing narrative within conservative circles that Rittenhouse’s killing of two protesters during social justice demonstrations in Kenosha was not only justified, but somehow commendable,” according to Mic.

Protesters were demonstrating in the wake of the shooting of Jacob Blake, a father who was shot in the back seven times by police while his children were present.

“The majority of these gun purchases are first-time gun owners, and when we leave this up to the individual, it’s not going to end real pretty,” Clarke said on the radio show.

“But I don’t blame them. Have a plan, think it through, be able to articulate it, and be reasonable. It’s all the law requires.”

Brock’s death comes after the death of fellow Hall of Famer, Tom Seaver, who died on Monday.

“Brock faced Seaver 157 times in his career. That was the most plate appearances against any pitcher for Brock, who was in turn the batter Seaver faced the most number of times,” according to ESPN’s research team.

Brock began his 19-season career in 1961 as a rookie with the Chicago Cubs. He was eventually traded to the St. Louis Cardinals in 1964.

During his career with the Cardinals, Brock was a major league baseball all-star six times and played for the Cardinals for 16 seasons.

In 1964, 1967 and 1968, Brock led the Cardinals to the World Series. The team won in both 1964 and 1967, and even though they lost to the Boston Red Sox in 1968, Brock had 13 hits.

According to CBS, he was “known as one of baseball’s most complete players.“

Brock was known for his speed as he ran between bases, and when he retired in 1979, he had 938 stolen bases, the most stolen bases of any other baseball player at the time.
